The government had announced that, during the course of this week, guidelines will be given to vaccinate front-line health personnel who received their vaccinations in January 2021.
According to the Minister of Health, Ximena Garzón , the vaccine booster is for vulnerable personnel, such as doctors, since they are in contact with patients; then it will continue with adults 65 years of age or older with aggravating illnesses and gradually with persons 65 years of age, minors with aggravating illnesses.
At the Pablo Arturo Suárez Hospital in Quito, a total of 1,086 health and administrative workers received the third vaccine dose this week. This establishment was declared as a sentinel unit for COVID-19 since March 2020. That is, it focused its attention on those infected with that disease....." -
