10 DEC21- 💉'A vaccination, that is, a mass vaccination day against covid-19, will take place on the weekend of December 11 and 12, 2021 throughout Ecuador- ☣️
"People may go to any of the health centers and special inoculation points set up in Ecuador. You can see the list at this link. Attention will be from 08:00 to 16:00, both days.
In the case of Quito, apart from the health centers of the Ministry of the branch, three points are enabled for mass vaccination: the Iñaquito Metropolitan Sports Center, the Central University Coliseum, the Calderón Coliseum and the UDLA de la Granados.
Who can get vaccinated?
At any of these points, the first and second doses are applied for people over 5 years of age.
In addition, during the Vaccination against covid-19 in Ecuador, reinforcements will be placed for the population that was administered the last dose six months ago. Each center has the brand of vaccines that is required for each case.
The Ministry of Health reported this Friday, December 10, 2021, that in the country, 25.4% of boys and girls between 5 and 11 years old are already fully vaccinated.
In the 12 to 17-year-old group, 61.8% were immunized. In turn, 78.8% of 18 to 24 year olds have already been vaccinated.
Those between 25 and 49 are in the group of people with a percentage of 84.2% completely immunized. The data are recorded in the Vaccine Meter, with cut-off to Wednesday, December 8.
In total, 11.7 million Ecuadorians have the complete scheme. This figure corresponds to 73.1% of the 16 million inhabitants over 5 years of age, which is the target population to vaccinate.
The Government has the goal of vaccinating at least 85% of the target population by the end of 2021. With that percentage, the so-called group immunity will have been achieved.
Vaccines, the government said, "are effective and safe to combat the virus and its variants and help prevent serious illness, hospitalization and death."
