20JUN22- Day#8 #ParoNacional 🚨 "A protester died after falling into a ravine in Guayllabamba, north of Quito. The reasons for this death are unclear. No one saw for sure what happened. Some said that the night and the resulting confusion made it impossible to recognize their colleagues or relatives.
🪖Everyone ran along the tracks and jumped to the surrounding land to take cover. Among the groups of demonstrators who were running from the tear gas, a group of between five or seven people would have fallen into a ravine. Some got out on their own, others were pulled out with injuries. But a young man of approximately 18 years died from the height of the fall.
⛑The body was rescued by members of the Quito Fire Department. According to information from this institution, the deceased, male, fell from a distance of approximately 100 meters. The preliminary report maintains that they identified three people who fell, two left by their own means and the other had to be rescued, lifeless.
