On June 11, fishermen in a city in Chile captured a giant oarfish, a sea creature which according to Japanese legend, predicts the presence of environmental disasters. The oarfish lives in the depths of the ocean. Therefore, the Japanese expert, Kiyoshi Wadatsumi, supports the hypothesis that "this type of fish lives near the bottom of the sea and is sensitive to the movements of active faults." According to Asian legend, the species appears when an environmental catastrophe approaches. Today this story has not lost credibility and is gaining more and more strength. Some say the legend could be true since it coincides with some earthquakes recorded in countries such as Ecuador. Something similar happened in Peru, on July 12, 18 kilometers from the border, this same species of fish almost six meters long was found. On July 18, an earthquake of magnitude 3.5 was recorded in Arequipa. Asian culture believes that the fish is a messenger from the palace of the god of the sea. Characterized by measuring up to 8 meters in length with a weight of up to 200 kilos.
