03OCT22- “President Lasso announced that the end of the COVID-19 pandemic will be declared in Ecuador within ten days. "The pandemic has ended in Ecuador and that is thanks to a vaccination process that we carried out a year ago."
The president gave the news on Monday night in an interview on the TC Television channel. He specified that the decision will be made by the national Emergency Operations Committee (COE), with the participation of the Ministry of Public Health (MSP).
"It will be a matter of a week or ten days, but the end of the pandemic is going to be declared," Lasso anticipated and indicated that this means that the use of a mask will not be mandatory, nor will there be limits on the capacity of people in public and private spaces.
The contagious cases of COVID-19 maintain a downward trend, according to the Ministry of Public Health. Since the pandemic began in March 2020, until October 2, 2022 in Ecuador,
1,005,662 confirmed cases and 35,899 deaths were registered, according to the latest epidemiological report from the Ministry.
As for the vaccination process against the coronavirus, the MSP reports until October 2 a total of 14,143,604 doses of the complete schedule, 7,261,022 first booster doses and 2,073,055 second boosters.”

If as a lawyer you are found guilty of having bribed a judge or prosecutor or you are that judge or prosecutor bribed, it is impossible for us to think that it is coherent that we can once again entrust them with their participation in the system of administration of justice.
A corrupt judge, lawyer or prosecutor must be banned for life from practicing the profession. Let them go out to sweep streets or pass cafes, but in this profession they cannot participate again. Because without Justice there is no State and they have made sure that Ecuador is a failed State.
But I am more radical: I propose that the perpetual inability to practice the profession ...

The United States announced the elimination of reciprocal tariffs for certain Ecuadorian exports, following the conclusion of a new agreement promoted by President Donald Trump and President Daniel Noboa.
The understanding incorporates chapters of trade, work, environment and security, with the aim of providing greater competitiveness and relief to the export sector of Ecuador.
The Minister of Production and Foreign Trade, Luis Jaramillo, stressed that this framework "will lay the foundations of trade, economic and national security relations", emphasizing that the agreement marks a decisive step to deepen cooperation between the two countries.
According to the Ecuadorian Government, the measure will allow to expand opportunities for domestic products and strengthen the bilateral agenda in strategic areas for development and security." -
