19OCT22- #ECUADOR - "The National Emergency Operations Committee (COE) decided to eliminate the mandatory presentation of entry requirements to the country and the Galápagos Islands. So that as of this Thursday, October 20, no traveler will be required to present a vaccination card with complete scheme or negative antigen or PCR test 72 hours in advance.
It did so this Wednesday after having analyzed the latest report on COVID-19 in Ecuador. President Guillermo Lasso, in an interview with the TC Television channel, on October 3, announced that the government was preparing to declare the end of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
In practice, the only restrictive measure that existed was the presentation of the requirements for entering the country due to COVID-19, such as the vaccination certificate or a diagnostic test. In Ecuador, capacity is no longer controlled, the use of the mask is voluntary and the only place where it is mandatory is in health centers and hospitals.
The report from the Ministry of Public Health (MSP) established that there is a reduction in the incidence of the main health indicators, indicated the president of the national COE, Juan Zapata.
He added that if there is an alert of an increase in coronavirus cases in any country, the Ministry of Public Health must inform the national COE to analyze the relevance of requesting the requirements for entering the country.
In addition, the State portfolio was asked to continue with the epidemiological surveillance and the vaccination plan for the application of the booster dose." -💉💉💉💉💉- https://www.eluniverso.com/noticias/ecuador/coe-nacional-elimina-obligatoriedad-de-presentacion-de-requisitos-de-ingreso-al-pais-por-covid-19-nota/?fbclid=IwAR0-cwA71H2fPagjH-3fkF21Z-jOBWMvygKsfT8n-VfaqpGulFG4a0m6CZE
