"This Friday, November 24, at 10:00, the opening of the Wayra Plaza shopping center in Cuenca is scheduled, which would be the first Power Center of Corporación Favorita. The first Megamaxi in the Azuay capital will also open in Wayra Plaza. The construction of the shopping center, in which more than 900 professionals collaborated, began in July 2021. The project investment is $30 million including land, parking construction, commercial area, road improvements, jobs, among others. Wayra Plaza has an area of 52,000 square meters, is divided into three levels, and has more than 700 parking spaces. Within the commercial area are the subsidiaries of Corporación Favorita such as: Sukasa, MegaKywi, Maxitec, Tatoo and as part of the news is that the second Juguetón will be there.
In addition, the shopping center will have a gym, financial institutions and food stores. According to Corporación Favorita, between Megamaxi, Juguetón and the other subsidiaries, around 300 jobs will be added directly and they estimate 1,500 jobs indirectly, including labor and construction contractors, and they estimate a similar number of additional jobs once the entire project is in commercial operation." -

The United States announced the elimination of reciprocal tariffs for certain Ecuadorian exports, following the conclusion of a new agreement promoted by President Donald Trump and President Daniel Noboa.
The understanding incorporates chapters of trade, work, environment and security, with the aim of providing greater competitiveness and relief to the export sector of Ecuador.
The Minister of Production and Foreign Trade, Luis Jaramillo, stressed that this framework "will lay the foundations of trade, economic and national security relations", emphasizing that the agreement marks a decisive step to deepen cooperation between the two countries.
