💉 "The American pharmaceutical company Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech reported that their vaccine against COVID-19 "is not for sale in any private channel as of February 2021."
This, according to a statement released on their social networks dated February 27. "The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine will be supplied exclusively according to the plan established by the central government of each country," reads the post on its Facebook page Pfizer Ecuador. -
A letter from AstraZeneca, linked to the University of Oxford, also circulated online. It explains that there are no sales for the private sector. And that they are focused on fulfilling commitments with governments.
The Minister of Public Health, Rodolfo Farfán, said it can not give the power to municipalities that wish to negotiate directly with the vaccine makers because the pharmaceutical companies have said they will only talk to central governments." -
