03APR24 - Diana Durango Sports shooting 25-meter pistol, a 35-year-old Quito native, qualified for Paris at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago. The athlete had an outstanding performance in the final of the 25-meter pistol and came second, behind the Mexican Alejandra Zavala . They will be her second consecutive Olympic participation, after Tokyo 2021.
Marina Pérez Sports shooting the Americas Rifle and Pistol Championship On April 2, the Ecuadorian athlete qualified for the Paris Olympic Games. Pérez won the gold medal at the Americas Rifle and Pistol Championship in the 10m air pistol category. They will be the third Olympic Games for the tricolor, after her participation in Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2021." -
