30JUN24- "The United States is tracking the dangerous Tren de Aragua gang, of Venezuelan origin, but which has spread throughout the region, including Ecuador. A report by the Fox News network includes the statement of an officer from the New York Police Department, Jason Savino, who states that members of the Aragua Train have infiltrated the city and the United States for two years. In front of a television, Savino shows the journalist a video of members of the Venezuelan gang displaying their weapons and making signs referring to the gang.
And the 'curious' thing about the video is that the New York police suspect that it was recorded in a neighborhood in Ecuador, when the criminal group was 'recruiting' members. "Then when we fast forward the images, you see the same individuals in Times Square (New York) and that is our concern," Savino said. New York police reported that the Aragua Train has infiltrated the United States through the flow of migrants arriving across the border with Mexico. The gang has mutated from common robberies in stores and jewelry stores, according to the police in this American city, to more serious crimes such as shooting at uniformed officers.
This was the case of a recently detained member of the gang, Bernardo Mata, a 19-year-old young man, who entered through the border between Mexico and the United States. Mata is on trial for shooting two police officers, who are still recovering in the hospital, after being arrested for riding a motorcycle without a helmet on a Queens street. At his arraignment hearing, Mata also confessed that the weapons used by members of the Aragua Train enter the city through migrant shelters.
New York, being classified as a sanctuary city, does not expel migrants who arrive, but rather places them in shelters until they can regularize their status. To these sites, weapons are trafficked in packages of food, which are not searched upon entry. As if that were not enough, police officer Savino warns of the discovery of a 'new' drug called 'Tusi' or pink cocaine, which would be linked to the appearance of the Aragua Train in New York. "This is one of the biggest challenges we have faced," Savino added......" -

19NOV24 "Temporary Protective Status (TPS) for Ecuadorians in the U.S. is sought by Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other Latino leaders in Congress.
“We could waste money and resources trying to remove one of the most economically productive communities in the United States,
one of the most culturally valuable communities in the United States,
or we can document them, and that's what we're here to fight for today. In addition to DACA and the Dream and Promise Act, we need to fight for TPS for Ecuadorians. They are here.
They are opening small businesses. They are paying more taxes than a lot of corporations do in this country.
I'll tell you that much, and we should make sure that we embrace our communities, so we're here to fight for them.”
FRI 15NOV24 (The Oligarchy Summit in Cuenca ends) 👁️#Ecuador #Agenda2030 🇺🇳
"The 29th Ibero-American Summit of Presidents in #Cuenca closed on Friday without an official declaration approved by delegations from the 19 countries that attended the meeting.
All countries, except Argentina, agreed to support a document that included agreements on gender equality, actions to combat climate change,
promoting the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals and condemning the United States trade embargo against Cuba, among other issues.
But the representative of President Javier Milei, Ambassador Eduardo Acevedo, expressed the Argentine Government's refusal to sign these articles.
In return, Acevedo proposed that the 19 sign a document that included only matters of mutual agreement, something that Cuba and the rest of the countries opposed .
24 special declarations were signed that include lines of action for strengthening the community on issues of:
