22SUN24 - "The first rains recorded after 71 days of hydrological drought in the province of Azuay saw a slight recovery in the flow of certain rivers, providing partial relief in the midst of the water and energy emergency that has forced the country to implement power cuts. The Santa Bárbara River, in Gualaceo Canton, experienced a significant increase in its flow following the rainfall recorded between the night of Saturday, September 21, and the morning of Sunday, September 22. And the iconic Tomebamba River, in Cuenca, saw a slight improvement.

The Tomebamba went from a worrying state of low water to one of low flow, reaching 1.70 cubic metres per second (m³/s) of flow, when before the rains it was at less than 0.80 m³/s. Despite the improvement, its level remains below the historical average of 2.22 m³/s. However, the city's other tributaries, such as the Yanuncay and Tarqui rivers, remain in a low water state with flows of 1.17 m³/s and 0.51 m³/s, respectively.

The Machángara River, which is also part of the Cuenca water system, is at a low level with 1.39 m³/s. Increased flow in tributaries such as the Tomebamba could alleviate water rationing in the urban area of ​​Cuenca, where reserves were on the verge of exhaustion , with only five or six days of supply remaining..." -

My 2025 NewYears Resolution

now a days The CCW is pretty much streamlined down to this:

plan on about $300 for to join the gun club,about $200 or up to $300 for the CCW course,about $300 for psyche, psycho and toxico exams,

a 9mm Taurus for say $1200.
a 9mm CZ for say $1500.
aprox $80 to $100 for a box of 50rds 9mm FMJ

i see peeps now a days getting legally armed in about a 3-4 months time frame, kinda like a tuff assed visa process!
