30NOV24 "Local tourism, entertainment and restaurants are the three areas in which nearly half of the people of Quito have reduced their expenses in 2024,
according to a survey by the consulting firm Oikonomics. More than half of those consulted said that their consumption of local tourism (53%) and entertainment (51%) has decreased.
And 49% also said that they have lowered their expenses in restaurants. In all three cases, the main reason was economic instability, then insecurity and the energy crisis.
In the same way, 43% of the respondents stated that they have reduced their expenses on clothing. In the areas of transport and food,
the majority of those consulted said that they have maintained spending, but at least 20% say they are spending less.
The consumer perception survey was applied between November 9 and 17, to 307 people in the Ecuadorian capital."-

i see peeps now a days getting legally armed in about a 3-4 months time frame, kinda like a tuff assed visa process!
