04DEC24 "The expansion project for Quito's Mariscal Sucre International Airport, which involves a multimillion-dollar investment, is 32% complete, with plans to be fully inaugurated by the end of 2025.

With this project, Corporación Quiport expects to receive 7.5 million passengers per year; at present, 5.4 million are transported. The project involves a total investment of $74.2 million, explained Diego Álvarez, Infrastructure and Engineering manager of the airport.

The project includes an extension of the terminal building by 17,000 square metres . The platform will also be extended by 35,000 square metres. Currently, the area where the planes are parked is 100,000 m2.

The expansion of the passenger terminal includes four levels:
Level 0: Expansion of technical rooms and warehouses for terminal suppliers.

Level 1: Expansion of the public arrivals hall, baggage claim area, increase in the capacity of the international baggage carousels (from two to three), reconfiguration of the Customs area, expansion of the duty-free shop and the baggage handling system.

Level 2: Expansion of the public departure hall, passenger check-in area with 20 new counters and 12 self-check-in machines, pre-boarding lounge for 350 passengers, expansion of the international departure duty-free shop and new food and beverage areas.

Level 3: expansion of the international VIP lounge, which currently measures 950 square metres, to nearly 2,000, with capacity to accommodate 200 people.

With the expansion of the platform, there will be more space for 'type E' aircraft, which are the largest, for long-distance flights, and for 'type C' aircraft, which are smaller in scale, explained the Infrastructure Manager.

The terminal expansion project is being carried out by Ekron Construcciones and the terminal expansion by Tracto Repuestos. The supervisory company is Icorp. Around 400 people are working on the project. Currently, the airport receives about 5.4 million passengers a year.

The expansion is expected to accommodate 7.5 million passengers, said Ramón Miró, president of Corporación Quiport, the airport's concessionaire."

16SEP26💯%Choneros🚀"On Sept. 16, under the direction of #SOUTHCOM, Joint Task Force Western Hemisphere (JTF-WHEM)

forces successfully interdicted a floating refueling station supporting illicit at-sea drug trafficking operations in the Eastern Pacific.

Intelligence confirmed the vessel's involvement with the Los Choneros violent narco-terrorist organization.

Individuals removed from the vessel have been transferred to Ecuadorian authorities. After clearing the vessel and disembarking the crew, U.S. forces sank it.

JTF-WHEM continues to conduct precise and professional operations to dismantle the logistical networks fueling narco-trafficking in the Western Hemisphere.

"Alongside our Ecuadorian partners, we are relentlessly pursuing narco-terrorists who prey on our citizens,

undermine hemispheric security, and leave death and suffering in their wake. This deliberate, lawful, and precise operation saves lives and makes our citizens—from Ecuador to the United States—safer." -

"It is an absurdity, it is laughable, to speak of such a
pending disaster as "The End of the World."

We are discussing the end of Humanity, or we are discussing the
end of Civilization, or we are perhaps even discussing
the end of some this or that Empire that we mistakenly
believe to identify with.

The end of the world will come when the sun
expands and engulfs it.

Now, is it truly a surprise that our discourse relates
economic tragedy with an ecological one?

That we actually behave as though a marked downturn in
the Market can somehow be compared to the death of Nature?

We are so enamored with our vastness and resource that we have forgotten the lark and the sparrow.

So I say, come armageddon. Come, you horsemen.
Let us speak these things no more."
