26FEB25 'CHINA IS INTERESTED IN BUYING CHEESE, DAIRY PRODUCTS AND YOGURT FROM ECUADOR-
"The Dairy Industry Center signs an agreement with Arcsa to strengthen the regulation and competitiveness of the sector
There is interest from China in signing the sanitary opening of dairy products as soon as possible, according to Patricio Almeida, executive director of the Agency for Regulation and Control of Phytosanitary and Zoosanitary Products (Agrocalidad), the day the export of avocado and pitahaya to Argentina was announced.
The negotiation with the Asian country continues, according to the Dairy Industry Center (CIL), it is expected that this can take place in August and that according to them they celebrate 45 years of diplomatic relations. The products with export potential are aged cheeses, dairy drinks, functional drinks, whey drinks and yogurt.
While they seek to expand the international market, the sector makes agreements with public entities to reinforce quality and safety.

The National Agency for Regulation, Control and Sanitary Surveillance (Arcsa) and the Dairy Industry Center (CIL) have signed a technical cooperation framework agreement with the aim of strengthening the sustainable development of the dairy sector in Ecuador, guaranteeing the quality and safety of products for consumers.
During the signing ceremony, the executive director of Arcsa, Daniel Sánchez Procel, and the director of CIL, Verónica Chávez Man-Ging, highlighted the importance of this alliance for the regulation and growth of the dairy production sector.
The executive director of Arcsa highlighted that “within the CIL there is a significant number of companies that generate dairy production for the School Food Plan,
a fundamental program to combat child malnutrition; therefore, this agreement represents a significant advance for the country.”
For her part, the director of the CIL pointed out that “this agreement will allow us to work hand in hand with Arcsa to strengthen the sector, promote adequate nutrition, take care of the health of consumers and, above all, promote the formalization of the country's dairy producers.”
With this alliance, Arcsa and the CIL reaffirm their commitment to work together to guarantee the quality and safety of dairy products in Ecuador, promoting the competitiveness and formalization of the sector."
