04MAR25 #Ecuador 🎭"Carnaval, a celebration of joy and tradition in most cities in Ecuador, was overshadowed by disrespect and lack of control in Guaranda and Baños. In Guaranda, the celebration of Pawkar Raymi on Saturday, March 1, ended in a brawl in the middle of a concert.

A group of people, apparently under the influence of alcohol, began throwing beer bottles, sticks and punches at each other, unleashing chaos. Several officers were injured in the attempt to disperse the rioters and two people were detained for causing a public disturbance.

In Baños de Agua Santa, the lack of control during Carnaval was also evident. The streets became a "pitched battle" in which, in addition to water and foam, some people used animal excrement💩 to attack passers-by. José Gavilán, a witness to the excesses, reported that even the Carnaval Queen was the target of attacks.

25JUN25 "Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa announced this Thursday the capture of Adolfo Macías Villamar, alias "Fito ," considered the leader of the Los Choneros organized crime group.
"For those who opposed and doubted the need for the Solidarity and Intelligence laws : thanks to those laws, Fito was captured today and is in the hands of the Security Bloc," the president posted on the social network X.
