👨🏻‍⚕️ (if EC ministry of truth / saluds would have taken care of the normal everyday healthcare needs, and heavily distributed HCQ & Ivermectin, far fewer would have perished from lack of medical care and proper meds & treatment, running a 2" dia. pipe down a patients throat, intubation, putting on a ventilator and inducing a coma for 10-12 days will kill the best and fittest among us.) 🏨

09 JUN 2021- ☣️ "The official Ecuador figures of the pandemic are getting worse. Last week the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INEC) published a study on the deaths registered in 2020, which shows a clearer picture of the impact of the pandemic in the country.

😷 According to that analysis, there were 41,077 more deaths than in 2019, an unprecedented annual increase, and the main cause was COVID-19, which caused 23,793 deaths, among confirmed and suspected cases. This figure does not agree with that of the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), which accounted for around 14,450 deaths from COVID-19 last year, in the same way, between confirmed and suspected.

The INEC data even exceeds all the deaths from COVID-19 registered by the Ministry throughout the pandemic, because according to this Ministry until yesterday there were only 20,831 deaths. The figures of both institutions do not coincide due to the difference in the methodologies used in their analyzes. The director of Sociodemographic Statistics of the INEC, Soledad Carrera, affirmed that her study is broader. She explained that the MSP figures are collected mainly from hospital discharges, while the INEC included deaths in homes and other places. "Not necessarily, they (the MSP technicians) have access to information, for example, on deaths that occurred at home, which were certified by treating physicians or Legal Medicine.

That is why it is the difference," pointed out Carrera.
In addition, the figure was raised in the INEC study because the deaths that were initially registered with other diseases, such as pneumonia, were corrected, since the doctors did not have the results of the PCR tests at that time. Cases that tested positive were reclassified as COVID-19 deaths, Carrera explained.

The INEC figures also reveal which groups were the most affected by the coronavirus. Of the 23,793 deaths from this disease, 83% were people residing in urban areas; 66% were men; 28% were between 65 and 74 years old and 22% between 75 and 84 years old. Almost half of the deaths, 48%, occurred in MSP hospitals; and 31%, in those of the Ecuadorian Social Security Institute (IESS).

Meanwhile, 11% of deaths from COVID-19 (2,587) occurred at homes. Most of these occurred at the most critical moments of the emergency , with the collapse of the hospitals: 716 in April, when the pandemic hit Guayas and Santa Elena; and 432 in July, when it hit the center and north of the country." - https://www.eluniverso.com/noticias/ecuador/23793-murieron-por-covid-19-en-2020-segun-el-inec-nota/

01JUL25 - SOUTHCOM’s TMPI: Towards Integrated Deterrence in the Americas by Building Maintenance Capacity- #ECUADOR - "Analyzing Ecuador’s foreign policy trajectory over the past two decades is pertinent to illuminating the region’s evolving political and security landscape. During President Rafael Correa’s administration between 2007 and 2017, Ecuador pivoted by severing its military relations with the US.

This comprehensive shift included ordering the closure of the security cooperation office in the US Embassy and honoring but not renewing the lease term for the Manta Air Base, causing the withdrawal of approximately 300 US military personnel stationed there.

However, this period of strained relations was followed by the re-establishment of the Office of Security Cooperation (OSC) in 2018, signaling a potential shift that ultimately materialized with new military cooperation agreements signed with the US in 2023 under President Lasso and ratified in 2024 by President Daniel Noboa. ...

25JUN25 "Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa announced this Thursday the capture of Adolfo Macías Villamar, alias "Fito ," considered the leader of the Los Choneros organized crime group.

"For those who opposed and doubted the need for the Solidarity and Intelligence laws : thanks to those laws, Fito was captured today and is in the hands of the Security Bloc," the president posted on the social network X.

"We have done our part to proceed with Fito's extradition to the United States , and we await your response. Have a good afternoon, Ecuador," Noboa added.

The criminal leader had been on the run for over a year and a half , after escaping from the Guayaquil Regional Prison and hiding his tracks while the country was engulfed in a spiral of violence, culminating in the brief takeover of a television station.

'Fito,' who was serving a 34-year sentence for organized crime, drug trafficking, and murder , escaped on January 7, 2024, as he was about to be transferred to La Roca, a ...
