10 JUN 2021- The Minister of Health, Ximena Garzón, reported that starting at the end of August, they plan to administer vaccine doses against COVID-19 to children. In an interview with the newspaper El Comercio,
she said the Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinovac has just indicated that it is feasible to apply its formulas to this population. From what ages could they receive the vaccine?
Minister Garzón pointed out that all school-age children may be covered with the Sinovac vaccine, from the age of 3. "However, we will continue to rely on scientific evidence. Sinovac will send us information to make decisions, but the latest information guarantees immunity in children (with their doses)." -
